A new West Marine marine engine may seem like an obvious candidate for the title of “Most Cost-Effective Marine Engine Ever”.

It’s a large, multi-purpose diesel engine that can be used in both the commercial and marine sectors.

It’s powered by a fuel-injected, diesel engine, and the marine industry is seeing a steady increase in demand for marine-based fuel. 

This new marine-powered engine will not only be a boon to the marine-energy sector, it will also be a boost for the West Marine brand and help its business continue to grow.

The diesel engine is a hybrid of two engines: one is a single-stage diesel, which is used in boats for powering turbines and propellers, and a second, dual-stage engine, which can also be used as an engine to power pumps and generators.

The new engine is capable of using either fuel-fueled or diesel fuel.

In both cases, the fuel is compressed to produce a liquid mixture that can then be used for propulsion. 

West Marine engineers used their expertise in diesel engines to design a new, high-performance marine-fuelable engine.

The engine, based on a 3.8-liter diesel engine rated at 845 horsepower, has been tested by the Marine Safety Council (MSC), the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and other marine safety organizations, according to West Marine. 

“West Marine is committed to continuing to develop and manufacture the world’s most efficient, reliable, fuel-efficient marine-engine,” said John C. Dreyer, vice president of global marine products, West Marine International. 

The new marine engine has a capacity of up to 2,000 horsepower, making it the most powerful marine engine ever built, according a West Coast Marine spokesperson. 

What’s in a name? 

In West Marine’s case, “marine” refers to the fuel-air mixture that is used to produce the engine’s power. 

A marine engine can use both conventional diesel fuel or an additive-substitute fuel, depending on the fuel’s characteristics and the application.

The diesel-fuel mix, which includes additives such as nitrogen and sulfur, has a higher ratio of nitrogen to sulfur and is typically used for marine applications. 

Fuel-air mix, on the other hand, is a mix of the two. 

While it’s not known what the additive-sulfur mix does to the engine, West Coast says that the diesel engine’s fuel-aerosol mix can have a significant effect on the marine fuel’s ability to deliver the maximum amount of power. 

 West Marine says the new engine will be ready to go in 2019. 

With the new marine engines being produced in West Coast’s factory in Huntington Beach, California, the company says that production will begin in 2019, with an estimated ship arrival date of 2021. 

In a press release, West said that the new engines will be able to deliver up to 30 percent more power and 15 percent more torque than the current diesel engines. 

If the diesel and additive-gas engines are paired with the existing marine engine, the combined engine will offer up to 880 horsepower, a 30 percent increase in power.

West says that this new marine fuel-based engine will also offer up 20 percent more range. 

How is this engine different? 

The marine engine’s new design makes it even more affordable, with a price tag of just under $150,000.

The fuel-gas engine’s design is designed to deliver about a third of the power that a diesel engine can, but is also more fuel efficient than the diesel-engine. 

Why is it called “marine”? 

The term “marine fuel” is not a common name in the marine world.

“It’s not common for ships to be called ‘marine’ because of its association with diesel,” says Scott B. Johnson, executive director of the Maritime Fuel Supply Association (MFSAA), which represents marine companies. 

To avoid confusion, MFSAA calls the fuel “marine-air” fuel.

The name “marine engine” is also not familiar to many people. 

According to a West Ocean Marine spokesperson, “there are a lot of people who have been using the term ‘marine fuel’ for decades.” 

West says that “the term ‘motor boat’ and ‘marine engine’ are not commonly used to describe the marine engine because of the similarity of the name.” 

Is there an EPA-approved engine? 

It’s still unclear exactly what the EPA-approved fuel-type is for the new West marine engine.

According to a press statement from West, “The EPA-required engine design was developed using a combination of both conventional and diesel fuel.”
